Frequently Asked Questions
What does it cost?
Depending on the amount of hours of care needed each day, the average in-home service runs from ¼ to ½ that of Assisted Living Facilities or Nursing Homes (costs will vary depending on the amount of hours being covered). And our cost-per-hour charge is highly competitive when compared to other in-home care agencies in each area. We pride ourselves in keeping our costs to the clients and families as low and as cost-effective as possible.
Are your employees screened?
We do a complete FBI background check on all prospective employees so that we see if they have a criminal record in any of the 50 states, not just Idaho or Washington. We also check at least two work-related references provided on their applications to help us determine what kind of work ethic the applicant displayed in their past jobs. Lastly, we run a drivers license check on the individual which tells us if the prospective employee has any kind of driving record that would prevent them from transporting our clients to doctor’s appointments, shopping or errands.
May I interview the caregivers before starting services?
We encourage our clients to help in the selection of their caregiver through interviews or introductory meetings. Bringing a stranger into an individual’s home for the first time is difficult in the best of circumstances and this method of introduction has proven to be effective and welcomed by our clients and their involved family members.
Is there someone I can call after hours?
An on-call staff member from each office covers their phones after-hours and on weekends. If they do happen to miss your call at the moment, they will return your inquiry within 15-30 minutes of the call if a message is left requesting information or assistance. We’re committed to serving the needs of our clients and employees at a time that is most convenient to them. If you have any questions about our home care services or our skilled nursing services, please contact the office number in your area.
What insurances do you take?
We accept most private insurances that cover in-home, non-medical care, VA, ProviderOne, Idaho Medicaid, Molina, TrueBlue and Washington L&I. At this time, we do not accept Medicare.
